Our Client is a Chemical Distribution Company. They currently have a vacancy for an Internal Sales Coordinator – Industrial Chemicals. This position will be office based near Bracknell, Berkshire and is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Commercial Manager
Job Purpose
* The primary function of the role is to work as the Internal Sales Coordinator for the Industrial Chemicals Division, liaising closely with sales teams within industrial and roles in other divisions of the company
* The role requires someone who is comfortable in an active sales environment, ready to turn their hand to any aspect of working within a busy SME as required
Key Responsibilities
* Receive and progress customer enquiries (telephone & email / web) of a technical and commercial nature to the satisfaction of the customer and within a specified timescale
* Confidently and proactively contact customers to provide technical / commercial information
* Handle multiple enquiries and follow-ups at the same time, with differing timescales and resolutions
* Act as a proactive source of information for the field sales team
* Preparation of reports, presentations and figures for internal & external use
* Maintain Customer Relationship Management database
* Generate technical content on Industrial product range
* Organise, coordinate and participate in external customer / principal events, which may involve occasional overnight UK and European travel
* Liaise closely with other departments in the company, mainly logistics / order processing, regulatory and finance
* Cover for Sales Team as needed
Qualifications / Experience
Cultural fit for this role is essential: we are looking for a can-do person who is happy to get stuck in to get the job done, whether the task falls into sales, commercial, marketing, technical, business development, logistics, or regulatory. Full product and marketing skills training will be provided where necessary.
* Chemistry or Materials Science (or similar) graduate (or equivalent)
* Technical experience of working within the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers (CASE), Homecare Industrial & Institutional (HC, I&I), or plastics markets (desirable but not essential)
* Some sales and / or commercial experience is desirable but not essential
* Friendly, efficient customer service attitude & phone manner
* Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to listen and interpret customer needs
* Forward-thinking & proactive attitude to problem solving
* A social person who enjoys their job
In return our Client is offering a minimum basic salary of £25,000 per annum plus benefits
