Our Client is a fast-growing innovative speciality Chemical Distribution and Manufacturing company. They are now seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join their Innovation Services team. This position will be office based in Redditch, Worcestershire with the opportunity of hybrid working. (Three Days in the office and two days working at home). The position is a full-time permanent role.
This position will suit a Science Graduate with a desire to work in an innovative business development coordination role
Job Purpose
* To coordinate sourcing and commercialisation activities of New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing
* The Business Development Coordinator (Innovation Services Focus) will act across a diverse range of markets and support sales activities with effective sourcing
* The role will fulfil a project coordination role, ensuring that product launches across multiple divisions are commercialised successfully
Key Responsibilities
* Sourcing new materials at pace for NPD and Sales needs
* Costs associated for commercial success
* Testing and analysing chemicals and ingredients
* Onboarding new ingredients in-line with sourcing
* Developing new packaging & data sheets
* Establishing Quality Checks for ongoing supply chains
* Onboarding new suppliers in-line with sourcing activities
* Supporting NPD activity to meet team deadlines
* Liaise with stakeholders and support functions to achieve milestones
* Training
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to degree level / equivalent in Chemistry or Similar
* Experience of using modern Customer Relationship Management software (desirable)
* Experience in Supply Chain or Commercial Sourcing a plus.
* Project Management or Quality Control knowledge valued
* Numerate and IT literate
* Solution seeking attitude
* Demonstrates drive, a growth mindset and a team player approach
* Excellent analytical and organisation skills
* A good communicator comfortable integrating and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impact
* Takes responsibility and initiative for their delivery
* Flexible and comfortable prioritising multiple concurrent tasks.
* An eager learner, inquisitive and interested in a wide range of disciplines.
In return, our Client is offering a basic salary of £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience) plus benefits.
