Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor.

Design & Build Contractor and Property Developer with a proven track record for the successful delivery of innovative Residential and Mixed-use developments projects is currently seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will assist on a number of projects and shall learn to develop key QS skills by assisting the commercial team.

The Role

Under guidance of a Senior QS responsibilities will include :-

* Assist in accurate costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of site development.

* Analyse and report on costs and cash flow vs budget using the support systems in place.

* Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors, goods and materials.

* Prepare and despatch tender packages to sub-contractors (with clerical support).

* Set up job files and all necessary records (with clerical support and in conjunction with Accounts Dept).

* Collate sub-contractor tenders and, in conjunction with the Senior QS & Contracts Director award sub-contracts.

* Prepare contract programmes.

* In conjunction with the Senior QS, check and approve sub-contractors’ claims for payment.

* Liaise with sub-contractors to resolve queries.

* Assess and cost variations to contract.

* Update and maintain job accounts.

* Prepare contractual claims for payment.

* Submit and agree final accounts in conjunction with the Senior QS.

The Person

The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will have/be:

* RICS accredited degree.

* Be enthusiastic, hard-working and ambitious.
